Nader to Run for White House, Again

Longtime consumer advocate and two-time Green Party nominee for president, Ralph Nader announced today on NBC's Meet the Press that he is launching another bid for the White House. Nader ran in both 2000 and 2004, and still draws the ire of countless Democrats who blame Nader for George Bush's victory over Al Gore in Florida eight years ago.

In announcing his run Nader said voters were disenchanted by both major parties and that issues like corporate greed were being largely ignored. Asked yesterday about the prospect of another Nader White House bid, Democratic frontrunner Barack Obama said he wasn't that concerned that Nader would ciphon off votes from the Democratic nominee, citing the enthusiasm within the party for 2008.

Now, Nader faces the task of once again getting on the ballot in key states.
