University of Oklahoma President and Former US Senator David Boren talked about efforts by him and former US Senator Sam Nunn to encourage a spirit of bipartisanship in the presidential campaigns, and to encourage candidates to include people of other parties in their potential cabinets. Topics included whether this effort could lead to an independent, such as Michael Bloomberg, entering the presidential race with the potential support of centrists. He also talked about the conference on politics he and Senator Nunn are sponsoring at the University of Oklahoma on Monday Jan 7.
