Committee Says 'Washington is Broken' and Bloomberg Can Deliver

WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Draft Bloomberg Committee was officially announced today encouraging Mayor Michael Bloomberg to run in the 2008 presidential race. Founders Doug Bailey (R), former GOP consultant and Hotline founder, and Gerald Rafshoon (D), former White House Communications Director in the Carter administration, announced today at the National Press Club that the committee sees Bloomberg as the solution to a broken two party political system that no longer serves the American people.

Draft Bloomberg is launching a 50-state petition (www.draftmichaelbloomberg.com) urging the mayor to run. The bipartisan effort is striving to bring Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
