Tammy Howard, Cleveland County clerk, said recently she will seek election to the post.Howard, a Republican, has held the position of county clerk since being appointed by Cleveland County commissioners in 2007.
"As your county clerk I will continue to seek out new innovative ways and finding cost saving solutions in running the county clerk's office in unison with the other elected officials." she said.
Howard brings more than 19 years experience with Cleveland County government.
She also has served as a Slaughterville Town Trustee and is a member of chamber of commerces, Norman Rotary Club and various county government associations.
Howard resides in Slaughterville with her husband, three children and two grandchildren.
