Talk of Bloomberg-Hagel Ticket Returns

Talk of Bloomberg-Hagel Ticket Returns

Omaha, NE.- The talk of a Bloomberg-Hagel independent run for the White House refuses to go away.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is now reportedly analyzing voters in all 50 states, checking his chances of winning in November.

And Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel's name continues to be linked with Bloomberg.

Speculation of a Bloomberg-Hagel ticket surfaced months ago, after a couple of low key, but high powered dinners between the two.

Now the speculation is back, and Senator Hagel is not stopping it.

Bloomberg continues to insist he's not running, telling reporters throughout the week that, "I am not a candidate." But he showed up at political meeting in Oklahomas this week where all the talk was about a 3rd party run.

University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato says that take Bloomberg is, "looking for an opening. Look he keeps denying it and then he keeps stoking the rumors."

Senator Chuck Hagel who also attended the Oklahoma meeting was asked if the 3rd party talk will continue. Hagel said. "Well sure this is not a one time meeting for this group. We are going to continue to meet."
