
Former Senator David Boren talked about efforts by him and former Senator Sam Nunn to encourage a spirit of bipartisanship in the presidential campaigns, and to encourage candidates to include people of other parties in their potential cabinets. Topics included whether this effort could lead to an independent, such as Michael Bloomberg, entering the presidential race with the potential support of centrists. He also talked about the conference on politics he and Senator Nunn are sponsoring at the University of Oklahoma the next week. Former Senator Boren is the president of the university. After he left, the reporters discussed his responses with the host.
