Fallin wins Small Business role in House

U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin became the top Republican member last week of a House subcommittee that focuses on small business issues.

"I am extremely pleased to receive a leadership role on the Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight," the Oklahoma Republican said.

The subcommittee serves as the investigative arm of the House Small Business Committee and provides oversight of the Small Business Administration.

"The SBA plays a vital role in a wide range of small business issues," Fallin said.

"Whether it is providing relief to small business owners in the wake of a national disaster or helping American veterans become entrepreneurs, I intend to hold the SBA to the highest standard possible," she said.
