Is Obama Run Low on Cash this Month ?

Hat tip Red County

Is Barack Obama faced with mounting expenses and running out of cash?

I guess those of us who support John McCain hope this is true. There is no doubt that Obama had more cash on hand than McCain going into October.

But, the Republican Party has a ton more cash on hand than the Democratic Party.

American Thinker follows up on a couple posts from WLS at Pat Patterico's site and this Washington Post blog
Obama spent nearly twice as much on television advertising in 17 battleground states as the McCain/GOP forces combined over 7 days from September 30 to October 6.

The math left me shaking my head. How can Obama spend $20 million in seven days, with a full five weeks left until the election, given the gross amount of money available to him? To continue spending at that same level through the election would require another $80+ million
So, it looks like the Obama team saw an opportunity to change the subject from the post-convention Palin bounce that McCain was enjoying and take advantage of the stock market problems by dumping millions in an effort to build up an insurmountable lead in mid-October.

The problem though is that McCain's numbers are already starting to regain traction ... cutting the Obama lead in most major polls Friday and today.

Watch closely for the spin machines to kick into full gear prior to the final debate.

This election is basically going to be a dead heat with two weeks left ... ACORN will matter, Palin's problems in Alaska will matter, the stock market will matter
