Ex-Tulsa City Council member to run for Senate District 35

A former Tulsa City Council member decides to run for the Oklahoma Senate.

Cason Carter officially launched his campaign today for the District 35 seat.

The 31-year-old Republican didn't seek re-election to the council this spring after serving just one term.

Carter is a Tulsa native and a graduate of Duke University and the Georgetown University College of Law. He is an attorney with the GableGotwals firm.

Senate District 35's incumbent, Republican James Williamson, is ineligible for re-election because of term limits.
